Week 3 Day 4
Blob w/ left - WOW, it is getting tougher every day now. More than once i saw stars and it got dark after i dropped the blob. I was squeezing so damn hard i almost passed out. The thumb work barely made it. A couple of sets i needed to start over because i could not complete the reps. The negative thumb is going to kill me. I am very carefull because it seems like i'm going to pull my thumbs out off my hands. My hands and forearms burned most of the workout, after EVERY REP. And they still do right now, an hour and a half latter.
For the walk at the end i bumped up to the 37.5 lb blob. I was using a 35 lb hex (half a 50 with a magnet holding an additional 10 lbs). I wanted to make sure i get the most out of this damn workout. It sucks so bad, i need to reap every bit of gains i can. The first walk it dropped 2 times, and the next 2 walks it dropped 3 times. What a difference at the end of the workout. I think this is the way i'll finish the workout if possible. I was cautious to do it with the 37.5 because i'm doing it in my basement and its not easy to drop that much weight. but i set it up so i'm walking over 3/4" plywood at a minimum at all times. I just moved everything else out of the way for now.
Grippers w/ Right - okay, i really need to cut my HG#200 i'm using for overcrushes. I have nt tested myself yet so for my warm up i did. Stupid to do in the middle of the week, stupid. I closed the #2 with both hands (have not lost anything with my left even without the training) then i closed the HG 300 (it's a little easier the the COC #2.5). Which ties my PR. Then when i tried the #2.5 i missed both times. Not even really close compared to my PR. but considering i'm in the middle of week 3 i should not be suprised. but it still pissed me off.
No more trying to wear gloves to bed, they did not last too long last night. And i did not feel like doing th econtrast baths tonight either. It seems like the icy hot stuff makes the biggest difference, and it's alot easier then doing those damn contrast baths.
